Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients

  • 675 g seeded watermelon
  • 240 ml tequila, silver blanco, 100 percent agave tequila
  • 2 tablespoon agave nectar or sugar, optional
  • juice of 8 limes
  • 60 ml triple sec
  • teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups ice cubes
  • salt & sugar to decorate glasses
  • 6 lime slices to decorate

Instructions

  • In a food processor blend the watermelon until pureed, then strain through a sieve into a large bowl.
  • In a shaker or a jar, mix together ice cubes with tequila, triple sec and lime juice. Add a little sugar if desired.
  • Add in watermelon juice and shake all ingredients until combined.
  • Brush with salt & sugar a martini glass and strain the margarita in. Decorate with lime and serve immediately.
