    Apple detox water

    Published: Apr 26, 2015 · Modified: Feb 24, 2017 by Andrea

Making your own cleansing detox drink is the most easy way to stay fit and healthy, and really does help you slim down too.

Drinking water is already a way to help clean your body from toxins on a daily basis, but with a few simple additions you can get extra health benefits, and turn plain water in a delicious fruity detox water.

This week I've started drinking a super refreshing Apple detox water and I absolutely love it! Fresh and minty flavor, quick to put together and packed with vitamins. I feel fit and healthy, my skin is glowing and  it has definitely helped me flush my body of toxins and to debloat. I usually drink at least a bottle a day or more depending on my activity level.

Not only does this taste delicious…it works too! Why does this work?

Apples are extremely rich in important antioxidants and flavonoids, including Vitamins C and B Complex. Use your favorite apples, I love the crispy flavor of green apples,  but if you like a sweeter note go for Pink Lady and Fuji varieties.

Lemon & Lime protect you from infections, thanks to their antioxidant, disinfectant and antibiotic properties. They're high in vitamin C and help clear out the digestive system, they also provide an inner glow to your skin.

Mint helps the body digest more easily and it also soothes  stomach cramps.

Many of you have asked me if you can reuse the ingredients for more than just once. I wouldn't recommend that,  the more you refill your jug, glass or bottle with the same fruits, the more diluted and less nutrient-dense the fruit becomes. So make sure you replace with fresh ingredients every refill, to make sure you get all the vitamins and minerals you need.

Also, don't leave the water infuse with the other ingredients for more than 12h. I usually make the mix the night before, so I have it ready to drink the morning after.

This Apple detox water will boost your metabolism, help you lose a little weight and flush out all those nasty toxins!
