Crunchy and full of fresh, vibrant flavors (that mango salsa is totally addicting), these Spicy Shrimp Tacos With Mango Salsa are such a winner!
With Summer just around the corner, I’m thinking these tacos followed by watermelon margaritas might be the best combination ever to celebrate the hot season.
To make these Spicy Shrimp Tacos With Mango Salsa all you need is very simple ingredients:
- hard shell tacos
- fresh shrimps,
- Japanese shichimi
- my favorite mango salsa
Yes, that's all! Plus, they come together in just as little as 20 mins. Easy-peasy, right?
I've seasoned the shrimps with some lime juice, olive oil and shichimi, to give a lovely spicy kick which is well balanced by the fruity and refreshing mango salsa.
Shichimi is usually available in most Asian super stores, and it's a Japanese spice mixture containing typically seven ingredients:
- coarsely ground red chili pepper (the main ingredient)
- ground sansh? ("Japanese pepper")
- roasted orange/yuzu peel
- black & white sesame seeds
- hemp seed
- ground ginger
- nori (seaweed)
You can of course use fresh chili to add some spiciness, or you just leave it out altogether for the kids or if you're not a spicy fan.
I totally love these Spicy Shrimp Tacos With Mango Salsa, they make such a great party snack and are great to bring along to picnics and BBQs. Just make sure you fill them up at the last minute so they keep their crunchiness.
Tacos are a great way to play with the ingredients and spices, you can make them with so many different flavor combos. Be creative and enjoy!
