Ideally situated in Paris’ elegant first arrondissement and facing the Tuileries Garden, the Westin Paris Vendôme hotel offers magnificent views of the city and of the Tour Eiffel.
Conveniently located just a short walk away from the Louvre Museum, Place Vendôme, Place de la Concorde, and the iconic luxury boutiques of rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré, staying at the Westin Vendôme means you're in the coeur of Paris.
The luxurious hotel opened its majestic doors first as the Hotel Continental in 1878, and it was one of the largest and most luxurious hotels in Paris at that time.
Since 2005 its official name is The Westin Paris Vendôme, and it was refurbished by interior designer Sybille de Margerie in 2007.
The hotel is also home to prestigious historic ballrooms, available for private events and weddings. They date back to 1878 and feature impressive ceiling and wall frescos, crystal chandeliers, and gilded gold finishing.
It was in one of these ballrooms, that Yves Saint Laurent held many catwalk shows throughout his career, and Victor Hugo celebrated his birthdays.
ROOMS AND SUITES
The historic building now houses 428 bedrooms (including 80 suites), making it the 4-star hotel in Paris with the largest number of suites available.
Most of the rooms offer an exceptional view of the City of Lights, including the Tuileries Gardens and the Eiffel Tower.
We were kindly upgraded to a room with an Eiffel tower view, and the moment I peeked out of my window I fully understood why the rooms with a view sell out so quickly.
The view takes your breath away and it's worth every single extra penny.
Every single room is distinguished by its unique decor and marries contemporary design with the classic and sumptuous Parisian style.
The rooms luxurious decor boasts elements of marble, velvet, precious wood furniture, and lavish chandeliers, making them the perfect setting for a Parisian home away from home.
Each room features a fully stocked mini-bar with soft drinks and snacks, a comfortably-sized bathroom with marble countertops and either a shower or bathtub, and their signature Westin Heavenly Bed®, which I promise, is guaranteed to restore you after a long day wandering around the city of love.
DRINKING AND DINING
Le First Restaurant faces the Tuileries Gardens and offers a chic and sophisticated ambiance designed by Jacques Garcia.
The restaurant welcomes hotel guests for breakfast every day from 6:45 am to 11 am for a relaxing start to the day, the continental breakfast buffet options will leave you spoilt for choice.
The Tuileries Bar offers an intimate and elegant atmosphere, and it's the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon tea (they have an extensive selection of specialty teas) or relax with a drink and a few nibbles after a day out exploring the city.
Discover the unique and creative cocktails by Chef barman, Philippe Guidi or go with one of their classic options, we had a Negroni cocktail, and it was honestly one of the best we ever had.
The bar also offers unique drinks and desserts. Their new creation "L'un dans l'autre" is not to be missed - This unique hot chocolate is paired with an iced drink and it's available in four versions: Ginger, Cinnamon, Passion fruit, and Lavender.
La Terrasse d’Été is located in the heart of the hotel. It's a gorgeous inner courtyard exquisitely decorated with a mosaic-tiled fountain and surrounding columns and archways.
During the summer season, it offers a peaceful spot for relaxing and sipping a glass of champagne in the warm sunlight.
During the colder season, make the most of their Chalet d’Hiver in collaboration with Baileys, its cozy chalet chic atmosphere is guaranteed to warm you up on the coldest Parisian days.
Finally, a small note on the in-room dining service. The in-room breakfast experience is a must-do while staying at the Westin Paris Vendôme.
The breakfast menu includes a selection of freshly made juices, specialty teas, indulgent pastries, homemade pancakes, and a variety of healthy options such as sauteed mushrooms, fruit platters, and poached eggs.
